Seth graduated from Bowling Green State University with a major in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies and received his bachelor’s degree in 1999. He grew up going to church, to a degree, but it wasn’t until he went to Bowling Green State University where the work of Jesus finally took hold and he began the journey as a follower of Jesus. From that moment on all of Seth’s plans changed. He felt the call to enter into ministry in the summer of 1998 before his senior year at Bowling Green State University. In 2005 Seth served as Executive Director for a Christian based non-profit teen center in Springboro, Ohio called the Garage 1919. In 2008 Seth began serving as Youth Director for Bethany United Methodist Church in Liberty Township, OH. Seth later went on to serve in dual roles at Bethany as Youth Director and Audio and Visual Director. After serving at Bethany UMC Seth was appointed to his first church as Senior Pastor at Northern Hills from 2014 to 2018. At Northern Hills Seth began working “a church of differences” (differences of ethnicity, gender, nationality, economic, education, and political views) . This community was a kingdom dream of Seth’s and was a wonderful reality to live and minister within and is happy to return to Northern Hills UMC in 2020.
Seth is affirmed, assured, and even more convinced in a Triune God that is still working to allow him to be more like Jesus and less like himself, who loves him and guides him, and challenges him to be used more for the kingdom of God, family, friends, church family, and community. Seth is married to Allison and they have two children, Lucas and Harper.
